This weekend I was scheduled to volunteer for the Special Olympics, but my Grandmother Edith, died and I flew to her funeral.  She and my grandfather were married for 72 years.  When he heard the news, he said "This is the saddest day of my life".  Luckily he has bouts with dementia and at times, forgets.  Grandma always said that I was "Perfect", just like her.  She is missed dearly.  I dont even like thinking about the fact that she's gone.  She was the glue in our family.I

What a wonderful and funny group of people at the Eden Prairie Noon Rotary club!  They had so much fun passing the torch from President, Rich Weaver  to the new one,  Bob Danielson.  Rich was incredibly welcoming and I saw much interest from this fun group in Mentoring.  Thank you for allowing me to speak at your monthly meeting!

On this final day of Gay Pride week,  I woke up early to be at brunch at 10am even though I had gotten off air only a few hours before.  I felt it was important to be at this event and I knew it would be fun!  I had a ball on the rooftop of Seven in Minneapolis, watching the parade go by.   I met Sven, the weatherman on our local news along with Bitch Flowers, a fundraiser, performer, and believe it or not, Rangoli Rug expert at Shop NBC!  See below--  I also met the President of Lavendar magazine who said the parade began in 1981 with 100 people, and now thousands join together to support Gay rights and the equality of people.

Below, I'm celebrating the many colors with a tie died doggie and the  many personalities of Minneapolis with Shawn Wilsie, fellow TV Host with Shop NBC.

Honoring our Veterans who have served and have died serving was a memorable experience.  2 eagles circled overhead as the memorial began in a sign that God was also honoring our nations heroes.  Here is a photo of me with one very patriotic Lions Club member!

The Eden Prairie Lions Club raises most of their money during Schooner days with their fun games of Bingo!  I helped call the games along with my daughter, who it turns out, loves the microphone!  She kept telling me to let her do it!

Pioneer days was a bit rainy but still quite fun!  I met all of the junior queens who were giving up their titles and enjoyed being a part of this amazing small town's festivities!   Twin Citites Auto was generous to donate the usage of one of their gorgeous convertibles.  The BMW 645!  Needless to say, my husband had a ball driving it!

I'm so excited about my new sponsor Ed Hardy watches!  They are such cool watches and I love how fashionable they are!  Thank you Matthew Hebbard, President of Ed Hardy Watches!  He's single ladies...if you have  friend!  My husband was so sweet and helped me make signs for the parade tomorrow at Pioneer Days.  You should have seen him with stencils and glitter!
My daughter wanted to help, but it was past her bedtime.  I'm also thrilled about another new sponsor, BMW of Wayzata!  They are loaning me a beautiful new convertible for the parade tomorrow!  I'll post pictures soon!
