NOVEMBER 4th, 2010

A Delicious event with famous restauranteurs like David Fhima and well-known restaurants like Axel's, all  to help raise money for the Make a wish foundation, that helps grant wishes to children who have been diagnosed with a terminal disease.  I helped out at the wine bar and met so many incredible people--especially the gals I worked with pictured above!    Looking forward to becoming a Wish Granter in the future so I am able to more directly impact a child's life with the fulfillment of their wish!

Michelle Murphy has been working tirelessly on this calendar to raise money for non Hotchins Lymphoma --cancer research at the Mayo Clinic.   It features women in their Fabulous 40's who's lives have been touched by cancer.  Michelle and I are featured as well as former Mrs. America, Jennifer Kline, one of the Bella Diva singers and a former Mrs. Minnesota America.    Michelle did a beautiful job in helping to design this calendar and Robb Grier did our hair and makeup for our shoot---he is so talented!

I helped to publicize the event and to obrain

Somehow I won a dinner with Lori and Julia at SEven restaurant downtown!  Love these ladies...they certainly are personality plus!  Dr. Crutchfield's office drew a few patient names and I was one of them.  It was so fun to meet so many fantastic women with varied careers and lives and hear how Lori and Julia got their own show!  They are so sweet and fun and just the same in person as they are on their show!  THank you to Dr. Crutchfield's office for an amazing dinner and fun conversation!

Anoka is the Halloween capital of the United States and celebrated in style during this annual fundraiser.  Many wore orange bow ties...a tradition and a fundraiser.  I donated an Ed Hardy watch for their silent auction and we had a ball meeting royalty from the St. Paul Winter Carnival, the Aquatennial and many other systems.   Much money was raised for the educational programs in Anoka during this event!  My gown is from the Pageant Shop- a beatiful chiffon black gown with a crystal spide pin on it!
